Since 1982 Bob Kerson has been involved in a wide range of client assignments, encompassing comprehensive national and international senior level searches in all segments of the retail industry and retail dependent industries, including personally conducting over three hundred president and CEO searches. These include; department store chains, specialty stores, manufacturers, buying offices, direct mailers and mall developers. He has earned a worldwide reputation in organizational analysis and structure for turnaround situations and emerging growth companies. His highly regarded counsel on personnel training and development, as well as succession planning, is sought globally. As a result he has earned a reputation as a leading executive search professional in the retail and retail related industries.
Prior to founding Kerson Partners, Bob was President of Korn/Ferry International’s Retail/Fashion Practice, which included his former firm Levy-Kerson that KFI acquired in 1999.
Bob has served as an advisory board member for the Jay H. Baker Retailing Initiative of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Westchester County, and New York Presbyterian Hospital. He currently sits on the board of directors for Jericho Project, an organization dedicated to providing assistance for the homeless, including housing, job placement and support services. He has taken a particular interest in their Veterans Initiative.
Bob was a member of the US Army Reserves for six years.

During her career, Jane has been successful in executing and completing searches for clients ranging from small start-ups to major corporations looking for an infusion of new talent.
As Managing Partner of K&J Executive Search, a boutique search firm specializing in retail and beauty and apparel manufacturing, Jane developed a proven track record of sourcing and recruiting senior executives across a variety of disciplines, through assessing competencies, finding candidates who fit the culture of the organization and negotiating compensation packages. Prior to co-founding K&J in 2000, Jane held the position of Vice President with Levy-Kerson.
Before her career in Executive Search, Jane held various management positions with Macy’s, Montgomery Ward and The Limited. As a senior Human Resources executive, she developed her expertise in assessing and developing leadership talent at all levels of the organization.
Jane graduated from Wheaton College, cum laude, with a B.A. degree in Psychology. She plans to complete her certificate in Career Development from NYU in the fall of 2014. She is currently on the Advisory Board of Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Westchester NY.
With 25 years of experience, Barbara provides excellence in executive search, managing board, principal and senior executive searches across all segments of the retail and related industries. Barbara has earned a solid reputation as having astute judgment in assessing leadership competencies and cultural fit.
Prior to founding Helstrom Partners, Inc. Ms. Helstrom was in house at PetSmart, Inc. managing the development of a world class Talent Acquisition function. She was also was Vice President/Managing Director in Korn Ferry International’s Global Retail/Fashion Practice. She was responsible for major client relationship management and was one of three senior leaders establishing the KFI retail practice worldwide. Prior to joining KFI, Ms. Helstrom was a founding principal of the highly successful retail search firm, Helstrom Turner & Associates (HTA) that was grown to national prominence over 14 years. The firm was acquired by Korn Ferry International in 2000.
Ms. Helstrom began her career with May Department Stores in merchandising, stores and human resources positions and Carter Hawley Hale Stores, Inc. where she was responsible for senior executive recruiting and talent planning for the company’s 13 divisions.
Barbara graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor of Arts, Political Science and International Studies.

John continues to track accomplished professionals while, at the same time, build ongoing relationships with rising stars. A significant part of John’s business is derived from previous clients, both through repeat business and referrals.
Joe Morrison has 19 years of senior executive recruitment experience in the Retail Industry. He was Partner in the Retail Practice at Korn-Ferry International from 1999 until 2001 when he retired. Prior to this he had been Sr. VP. at Levy-Kerson Associates, one of the premier boutique search firms in the Retail Industry. Joe joined Levy-Kerson Assoc. in 1990 as a consultant.. He was a member of the team from the Levy- Kerson that became the foundation of the 1st Retail Practice at Korn-Ferry International. Joe was member of the R H. Macy Corporate Executive Recruitment team from 1986- 1990. This group created Executive Placement Consultants, a concept enabling them to market & complete search projects for other clients while still supporting Macy’s
Joe’s career with Macy’s started with the Bamberger’s Division in their Executive Training Program. Moving through the stores / merchandising program, reaching the level of Buyer. In 1980 he was offered the position of Manager of Executive Recruitment He was responsible for overseeing College Recruitment as well as stores / merchandising Executive Recruitment.
Joe retired due to his disability, MS, in 2001. He has dedicated his time to volunteer opportunities with local community organizations. They include Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bucks County, Gilda’s Club Delaware Valley/ Cancer Support Community and the National MS Society Greater Delaware Valley. He was recognized as Father of the Year (2003) by the National MS Society and One of The Forty Living Legends by KYW 1060 Radio, CBS Philadelphia, for his volunteerism in 2005. In 2007, Joe was recognized as Pennsylvania’s Big Brother of the Year, School Program and by Freedom Corp as one of 500 volunteers nationally and had the opportunity to meet President George W. Bush. He completed a 9 year term on the Board of Directors for Gilda’s Club Delaware Valley / Cancer Support Community and still heads up their Outreach effort for the Veterans Program.
Joe received his BA in History from Kings’ College. He and his wife, Vicki, reside in Jamison, Pa.
